Husson was founded in 1898 and in October of 2009 became Husson University in recognition of its status as a professional doctoral degree granting institution. The 200 acre campus is situated on the outskirts of Bangor, Maine, the health services and education center for the northern two-thirds of Maine. With a total enrollment of 3600 students, 65 per class in the School of Pharmacy, Husson University has expanded its health care offerings to also include graduate programs in nursing, physical therapy and occupational therapy and health care management.The 145-credit, four-year professional pharmacy program includes introductory, longitudinal and advanced practice experiences beginning as early as the first professional year. The goal of the curriculum is to graduate pharmacists capable of providing patient and population centered pharmaceutical care consistent with our vision of being “A regional leader in integrative pharmacy education committed to influencing the practice of pharmacy and rural health in the State of Maine.”

Details: | Students are invited for interviews based on their composite PCAT score and their math/science GPA. Interviews are conducted in the morning and afternoon and consist of an orientation, a 20 minute group case discussion, a 20 minute timed writing on a question related to the case study and a 30 minute interview with a team of one faculty member and a current student from the School of Pharmacy. |
